Young Masters Academy was founded in 2005 with a simple but powerful conviction: that every child in Likoni deserves access to quality education that sees them fully — not just as a student, but as a person with unique gifts, a family behind them, and a future worth investing in.
What began as a small school with a handful of teachers has grown into a thriving institution serving learners from Daycare through to Grade 9. Through every phase of growth, we have held firm to our founding belief: that education done well changes not just the child, but the entire family and community around them. As a private school on Mombasa's south coast, we are proud to be part of Likoni. This community is not a backdrop to our work — it is the reason for it. Our teachers live here, our students grow up here, and many of our alumni are now raising their own families here.
We do not do this alone. Young Masters Academy shares one compound in Likoni with Deliverance Church International Likoni, and works side by side with it and with the KE358 Child Development Centre (CDC). A sizeable share of our learners are supported through KE358, which is how we serve the children among us who need it most. Church, centre, and school form one community, and we consider it our richest asset.
