Enrol Your Child at Young Masters Academy: Your Place for 2027 Starts Here
Join at the Start of the Year, or Transfer at Any Time
Our main intake runs in January, at the start of the academic year. A child can also transfer to Young Masters Academy at any time, as long as the parent follows the government’s transfer procedure set out further down this page, so that your child stays properly registered in the national system. Our classes are intentionally small and places fill quickly, so we encourage families to apply early. Read how we teach and assess under CBE.

Assessment and Placement
For Grades 1 and above, we carry out a brief, informal placement assessment. This is not a test your child needs to prepare for — it simply helps us understand how to best support them from day one.
Enrolment Confirmation
Once a place is offered, enrolment is confirmed upon submission of required documents and payment of the registration fee. Your child's YMA journey begins.
Documents Required for Enrolment
- Certified copy of the child's Birth Certificate
- Two recent passport-size photographs of the child
- Completed enrolment form (available at our office or online)
- Previous school report or progress records (Grades 1 and above)
- For transfers: release letter from the previous school, plus your child’s UPI and KNEC assessment number
- Copy of parent or guardian's national ID
Not sure if you have everything? Call or WhatsApp us — we are happy to help.
How to Transfer Your Child the Right Way
A child can join us from another school at any time. What matters is that the transfer is recorded properly, so your child stays inside the government’s system and their assessment records move with them.
- Gather your child’s identifiers. You will need the UPI (Unique Personal Identifier) and the KNEC assessment number, both available from the current school, along with the birth certificate and the latest report or progress records.
- Ask the current school for a release letter. The letter should carry your child’s assessment number as registered with KNEC. Clear any outstanding obligations with the school first.
- Apply to Young Masters Academy. Submit your application and documents, and we will confirm placement with you.
- We start the transfer on KNEC’s CBA portal. The receiving school head starts the request using the assessment number, the releasing school head accepts it, and the portal generates the admission letter online. KNEC does not allow manual or handwritten transfer letters.
- We notify the Sub-County Director of Education. The receiving head writes an acceptance letter to the Sub-County Director, as the guidance requires.
Good to know. Under the guidance reported in 2026, transfers are not allowed into Grade 6, because learners are preparing for the national assessment, and a learner can be transferred only once. Please speak to us before you withdraw your child from their current school.
